Tutorials? y i do this?
Hi all again!
I thought it'd be useful to maybe develop on this blog some tutorials for the RPGMaker 2000 engine. I used this to build my game. By no means am I a wizard, but the tutorials are starting to ebb away with time as it's an old, old program. I hope it will help as an option to the other sites that are around for this as well. I'll try to link to them as much as possible. A big inspiration on my work has always been "The Way" that was made on this engine. I had an opportunity to interview Luke (LunC) who created this game two years ago and I will maybe post this email interview... in time!
Also, since I'm still getting my materials set up... I know by no means my work is that of a triple A title, but I'm hoping to join a game jam in the summer I really believe in. The next program I want to learn is Unity. . . I hope in three months I can have some mastery over stuff.
The game jam is one being put together by the organizers of Full Indie. Apparently, an article on Gamasutra stated that female characters weren't profitable in the gaming industry, and Full Indie is reacting to this, by holding a 48 hr game jam in July. The game jam is to make games that do feature a female character (if I'm not mistaken) and I would really like to participate.
I hope by completing the other two in this series I can equip myself with enough skills to help.
